The Siemens L8-3 Wireless Linear Probe is an essential component of the ACUSON Freestyle™ system, the world’s first ultrasound scanner to offer completely wireless probes. Designed to meet the needs of clinicians in hospital or outpatient settings, this linear transducer is revolutionising medical imaging practices by offering unparalleled freedom of movement, superior image quality and ergonomics designed for ultrasound-guided procedures.

With its extended frequency range of 3 to 8 MHz, the L8-3 provides accurate visualisation of superficial and deep structures, with a scanning depth of 2.5 to 9 cm. It is particularly suitable for abdominal, musculoskeletal, neurological, obstetric, gynaecological and vascular examinations, as well as small parts such as the thyroid or breasts. Its Pixelformer™ architecture ensures pixel-by-pixel focusing, eliminating zone artefacts and optimising resolution without compromising image frame rate.

The Siemens L8-3 Wireless Linear Probe wireless design allows it to be used up to 3 metres away from the system, facilitating sterile procedures and reducing the risk of infection. It features capacitive touch controls directly on the probe, allowing you to freeze the image, activate colour Doppler mode or save images without touching the console. This intuitive interface significantly improves workflow and clinical efficiency.
